1. Limit Sugar Intake
Processed sugar breaks down collagen, which is responsible for smooth, youthful skin. Limit your sugar intake when possible. Read a study on this, here.
2. Drink At Least 3 Bottles of Water Daily
Staying hydrated is KEY to keeping your skin moisturized and youthful. Carry a few bottles with you at all times.
3. Eat a Salad Everyday
Salads are a great way to incorporate vitamin-rich foods into your diets. They’re great for your overall health AND your skin.
4. Drink Vitamin-Rich Smoothies

5. Add Green Juices to your daily life
In addition to smoothies, juices are a great way to stay hydrated AND consume the vitamins necessary for bright, youthful skin. Get our juice recipe here.
6. Snack on Carrots
Carrots are high in Vitamin C and b-carotene. B-carotene, when ingested, is known to prevent sunburn, which is a MAJOR wrinkle-creator.
7. Eat Apples
As they say, an “Apple A Day Keeps the Doctors Away”. Well, apples are ALSO high in antioxidants and prevents free radicals, which protects our cells from aging. Read more about this here.
8. Add ginger to your diet
Ginger is one of my favorite foods to consume. It protects my immune-system in the winter, and research shows that it has some anti-cancer potential. When it comes to the skin, ginger is an anti-inflammatory.
9. Make your own bone-broth
There is some evidence to suggest bone-broth is high in collagen. Collagen is responsible for the connective tissue in our skin and for the youthful appearance of skin. The older we get, the more collagen we lose. Bone broth is a great way to support your collagen-intake.
10. Collagen Supplement
If you don’t want to bother with making your own collagen-rich bone broth, use a supplement instead. You can find different kinds in powder form on Amazon. Consult your doctor before you start taking it.
11. Snack on Blueberries
They’re a great antioxidant and they’re rich in Vitamin A & C.
12. Make Broccoli for Dinner
Broccoli is high in Vitamin C and K, fiber, folate, calcium, and antioxidants. Not only are they great for your skin, but they’re also great for your body!
Mix broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Put it in a cast-iron skillet or pan and leave it in the oven for about 20 minutes on 350 F/175 C. It’s the best side dish to any meal!
13. Make Avocado Toast for Breakfast…or just eat Avocados
Avocados are high in Vitamin K, C, E, A, B, and Potassium. They’re a great source of vitamins for your skin and body. My favorite way to eat avocado is to make Avocado toast with a little salt and Aleppo pepper.
14. Eat Pomegranate Seeds or Drink Pomegranate Juice
Pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant, and they are the BEST fruit to snack on. If you don’t have time to peel the pomegranates and get the seeds out, consider buying a juice. Just make sure it doesn’t have any added sugar.
15. Add Sweet Potatoes To Your Diet
Sweet Potatoes are very high in Vitamin A, which is a great vitamin to promote youthful skin and cell turnover. Sweet Potatoes also protect the skin from free radicals.
16. Sprinkle Nutritional Yeast On Salads, Scrabbled Eggs, Cooked Vegetables & More
Nutritional yeast is a great seasoning that is high in protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and is low in cholesterol. It’s the cheapest way to add vitamins to your diet and achieve glowing, radiant skin.
17. Add Rooibos Tea to Your Daily Diet
Rooibos teas are high In antioxidants, zin, and alpha-hydroxy acids. Alpha-hydroxy acids prevent fat loss underneath your skin, which means your face will remain soft, elegant, and youthful.
18. Drink Green Tea to Reduce Inflammation
Green tea maintains healthy skin cells and protects it from sun damage. Drink it daily to see the benefits!
19. Drink Hibiscus Tea for Glowing Skin
Preventing wrinkles in a great way to maintain a youthful appearance, but it is not the only way. Glowing skin is also a sign of beautiful, young skin! Hibiscus is high in Vitamin C, A, B1, B2, Zinc and Iron, which helps your skin achieve that beautiful glow.
20. Add Turmeric To Your Diet
Turmeric is a wonderful antioxidant. Sprinkle it into your dishes and make a golden chai turmeric drink to get the benefits of this wonderful root.
